We first set out to make the mountain retreat we loved and needed. Bird House was our first home as a married couple. We lived under it while we finished the renovation, a wood stove for heat, collapsing into bed each night nervous and excited about the retreat it would be.
One turned into four becoming a family affair with brothers, a cousin, and as a retirement nest egg for Esteban's parents. Every home has a story, a purpose, and a little God wink behind it. Every retreat happened in unexpected ways. All the work done by our own hands. Every stay stewarded with all our hearts.
Bird House has hosted honeymoons, engagements, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, girls retreats, boys getaways, and deployment send-offs. Guests share those moments with us and we treasure every one. We pray you leave here with your soul restored.
